More Referrals Accepted!!

Today two THREE children found their forever families!

One family accepted a referral for a one month old baby boy, the second family accepted their referral for a toddler boy.  A third family accepted a five year old girl referral!!  Congratulations to both all three families!!!

The wait list movement is:
-Toddler boy list:  Everyone after # 7 moves up one spot.
-Infant boy list:  Everyone between #3 and #17 moves up one spot, everyone after #17 moves up two spots. 
-Toddler girl list:  Everyone after #11 moves up one spot
-Infant girl list:  Everyone after #33 moves up one spot. 

Another referral!!!

We are very happy to announce that a beautiful little girl found her forever family today!!  The list moves as follows:

Nepal Suspension

The US Department of State announced the suspension of new adoption cases for children who have been identified as abandoned. This is effective today, August 6,2010 to all families who have not yet received a referral. The Department of State has concluded that the documentation they have seen with referrals is not reliable, and they can no longer reasonably determine if a child is an orphan.

The state mentioned that there are 80 cases that have been matched in Nepal, but there is no I600 petition or visa. We will be contacting our facilitator in Nepal today for more information regarding all of our Nepal families. At this point, we do not expect to see any referrals from Nepal, as all referrals have been abandonment cases from Nepal. USCIS is allowing all families to transfer their case to another country at no cost.

Yesterday a family officially accepted the referral of one of the precious toddler boys who had been waiting!!  Congratulations to the family on their new son!
