We are seeking your input and thoughts this morning about a possible group IAN may be offering in the near future. The Post Adoption Dialogue Group will include adoptive parents who have been home with their adopted child(ren) for any amount of time. The primary focus and goals of this group include:
- Sharing experiences with other adoptive families.
- Compiling resources and strategies for overcoming the "after adoption blues".
- Connect with other families, adoption trainers and hopefully guest speakers.
- Babysitting included!! Children will have the opportunity to meet and connect with other adopted children and siblings.
- Other ideas, brought to us by YOU!

This sounds terrific, we would definitely want to be a part once we have brought our child/ren home! It would be great if there could be a cultural piece to the kids experience, Ethiopian games, language or snack...maybe whoever is providing the baby sitting could either be Ethiopian or be able to incorporate Ethiopian culture into the time.
Would love to be a part of anything at all giving our adopted children and our families more connections and support. When we bring our child home we will be excited to see where the group is in its start-up process. We also hope the cultural summer camp we saw pics from last year is still going strong.
Andy wants to know if there will be free transportation? Maybe carpooling? LOL This sounds wonderful!!! Maybe you could tape/ video conference it for those of us who live so far away. If we didn't live so far away, we'd love to be a part. Great idea!!!!
